LiVES joining us….
LiVES is the moniker of Cornish songwriter and surfer Peter Chisholm.
He is based between Paris, Biarritz, Newquay and Sydney.
His main medium is piano, guitar and vocals with experimentation in synth, loops and orchestral textures, his sounds range from solo acoustic to electro beats to rock and pop.
His debut solo EP ‘The Flying EP’ was released in Summer 18’ on limited edition vinyl via Unicorn Records and is published via Sentric Music.
His music is used on TV and film throughout the world including BBC, Canal Plus, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Warner Bros, ESPN, CBS, Sony, MTV, Netflix and many major brands for advertising.
Peter specialises in rock and pop and has written for Bob Geldof, James Morrison, Sony BMG and collaborated with producers such as John Cornfield (Muse, Supergrass, Razorlight) and Pete Briquette (Tricky, Massive Attack, Glen Hansard)
Peter was the songwriter and singer with cult 2 piece rock band The Sea, during the bands life he released 3 studio albums, played over 1000 concerts in over 15 countries, had a top 5 chart hit, toured with Muse, The Kills, The Enemy, James Morrison and has played some of the biggest festivals worldwide including Glastonbury, SXSW, CMJ, Fete De Musique, M pour Montreal and Eurosonic.
He has had 3 songs in Kerrang Magazine’s top 10 songs of the month and has been record of the month with The Guardian, The Fly, Rocksound and CMJ Magazine.
Peter has collaborated with famed clothes designer Zandra Rhodes (who created outfits for him to wear on tour in America) and has appeared in several fashion magazines (including Vogue and GQ)
Peter grew up on the North Coast of Cornwall in the UK and exhibited musical talent from an early age. He was tutored by infamous jazz musician Jazz Monk.
As a child and teenager Peter was also a member of the British Surfing Team and has competed throughout Europe!
