As always we like to give you a little low down on some of the acts that are performing at the festival..

First up is 2019 festival openers Weekend Play a 4 piece band descending from 4 various areas of Kent – Medway, Maidstone, Ashford and St Margarets at Cliffe. Together between the 4 members there is over 45 years of gigging experience!

They look to provide their audiences with a good mix of covers ranging from the 60’s through to current chart material ranging from the likes of The Beatles, Maroon 5, Plan B, Kings of Leon, Gun, Lenny Kravitz and Stereophonics.

So let’s get to know the band….

James (Lead Singer) – Started singing in bands from the age of 18 now 36 so a vast experience on stage, James has a great range from his vocals ranging from great acapella to heavy rock, looks great on stage and can whip the audience up with ease, he has a natural charisma on stage and great stage presence.

Aaron (Lead Guitarist) – Has played in 2 very successful bands to date, always adopting the philosophy to have fun playing and to filter this enthusiasm through to the crowd. Aaron has always had a guitar in his bedroom since the age of 13, developed a natural talent to play lead and able to stand out from the rest of the band when needed too in any song. As a guitarist his is influenced by Saul Hudson (Slash), Dave Grohl, David Evans (The Edge), Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi and Jack Black.

Trevor (Drummer) – Trevor has played in a number of bands throughout the last 15 years, managing them in most cases. Trevor is heavily influenced by dance and funk music, Chad Smith, Rodger Taylor and Taylor Hawkins. He likes to have fun while playing in the band, displaying great enthusiasm, quoted as saying “I actually hit the drums and don’t tickle them”. Trevor also performs backing vocals throughout the set.

Neil (Bassist) – Has performed in a number of bands over the last 20+ years, bringing a wealth of experience with him. Neils enthusiasm for playing bass guitar can be felt and seen in his playing, with his funky slaps and awesome tone.
